% 20.10.2016 Petitioner is present in person. Mr. Dinesh Kumar Mittal, Director of Respondent no.2 is also present along with his counsel. It is submitted that the petitioner and the respondent no.2 have settled the matter for a sum of Rs. 85,000/-. Learned counsel for respondent no.2 submits that a sum of Rs. 65,000/- deposited by the petitioner before the concerned MM pursuant to order dated 10.01.2014 has already been released to respondent no.2. Petitioner has handed over Rs. 20,000/- to the respondent no.2 in the court today. It is submitted by learned counsel for respondent no.2 that the offence may be compounded.

In view of settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2, offence under Section 138 of NI Act is compounded and petitioner is acquitted.

Petition stands disposed of accordingly.

Copy of order be given dasti.
