% 20.01.2020 The petitioner has been released on furlough for a period of three weeks vide order dated 09.10.2019 with the condition that he shall furnish two surety of Rs. 10,000/- each along with a personal bond in the like amount.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has approached to the concerned authority for modification of furlough order dated 09.10.2019 to the extent that he be released on furlough on one surety but his application regarding modification of the said order was declined. The petitioner now prays that he be released on furlough only on
furnishing cash surety. The petitioner was granted furlough on 09.10.2019 and more than three months have elapsed and the petitioner has not been able to avail the benefit of the said order.
Therefore, it appears that the cause of the petitioner is genuine. The petitioner is therefore directed to be released on furlough on his furnishing a cash surety of Rs. 5000/- to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent. The other conditions contained in the order dated 09.10.2019 shall remain the same. The petition stands disposed accordingly.
