This writ petition is preferred on behalf of the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for a direction to the Respondent to provide to the Petitioner the Electoral Photo Identity Card ('EPIC') number necessary for completing the nomination form (Form 2B) forthwith. 2.
Ms. Anjana Gosain, learned counsel for Respondents has taken time to revert back with instructions. She has handed over a copy of letter dated 13.01.2025, whereby the application of the Petitioner for inclusion of his name in the Electoral Roll has been accepted and his name is enrolled in Part No.80 at Serial No.969 in AC-41 Jangpura. Ms. Gosain further submits, on instructions, that the Petitioner can download the EPIC from the web portal of the Election Commission. Copy of the aforesaid letter has been handed over to learned counsel for the Petitioner, who fairly submits that no further grievance survives and the petition can be disposed of.
