The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking direction to the respondent to release the petitioner on 1st spell of furlough for a period of three weeks in connection with FIR No.48/2001 under Sections 302/34 IPC registered at PS Rajender Nagar.

furlough was made by the petitioner as early as on 27.09.2023 but till date the respondent has not passed any order on the same. 4.

Issue notice. Learned Standing Counsel for the State accepts notice. He submits that the State has no objection in case directions are given for the disposal of the representation in a time bound manner. 5.

In view of the above, the respondents are directed to decide the application dated 27.09.2023 of the petitioner seeking 1st spell of furlough within a period of one week from today.
