% 30.01.2020 Present writ of habeas corpus had been filed by the petitioner-father seeking production of his daughter Ms. Ritu @ Gudia, aged about 23 years who was missing since 19th December, 2019. On the last date of hearing, learned counsel for the State had stated that a letter dated 19th December, 2019 had been received from Ms. Ritu @ Gudia at police station Seemapuri stating that she had voluntarily married Mr. Mohammed Imamuddin @ Raju after he had converted to Hinduism.
Learned counsel for the State was directed to produce Ms. Ritu @ Gudia in Court.
Today, Ms. Ritu @ Gudia is personally present in Court alongwith Mr. Mohammed Imamuddin @ Raju. They both confirm that they had
married each other out of their own free will. The petitioner and his wife who are personally present in Court state that they accept the marriage and they would maintain social contact with Ms. Ritu @ Gudia and Mr. Mohammad Imamuddin @ Raju.
In view thereof, the present writ petition is disposed of as satisfied. However, for a period of two months, the Beat Constable of the concerned jurisdiction where Ms. Ritu @ Gudia resides is directed to stay in touch with her over the phone.
