The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeks the following prayers:- "i) To issue writ of Mandamus or some other suitable writ in the light of the facts and circumstances of the present matter for protecting the life, limb, dignity and property of the petitioners, in the interest of justice. ii) Any other or further relief/direction/order which this Hon'ble court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case may kindly be passed in favour of the petitioner."

On the last date of hearing this Court had passed the following order:- "1. This hearing has been done through hybrid mode.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that the marriage of the petitioners has been solemnised on 03.01.2025 according to Hindu rites and ceremonies at Arya Samaj Mandir, Khanna Market, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi; however, the parents of the petitioners (respondent nos. 2 and 3) are against the said marriage and therefore, interfering in their married life and extending threats to them.

5. Learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the State. Let a status report be filed before the next date of hearing.

6. Issue notice to respondent nos. 2 and 3 through the SHO concerned for the next date of hearing.

7. List on 30.01.2025.

8. In the meantime, the contact number of the beat constable and SHO concerned of P.S. Mukherjee Nagar, shall be provided to the petitioners and in case of any exigency, the SHO concerned will accordingly respond with promptness."

In pursuance of the notice issued to the respondents no. 2 and 3, today respondent no. 2, who is the father of the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 3, who is the father of the petitioner no. 2 are present in Court and submit that they have accepted the marriage between the petitioners and they will not interfere in the matrimonial life of the petitioners in any manner whatsoever. Their undertaking is taken on record.
