The present petition has been filed seeking extension of parole for a further period of three weeks on the ground that the petitioner's wife has already undergone cataract surgery in one eye and her surgery for the second eye is scheduled to be conducted on 03.02.2025. 4.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, on instructions, submits that the petitioner will get the date of the surgery preponed to an earlier date and parole may be granted to him for a period of three weeks. He further submits that no further extension will be sought by the petitioner under any condition.

In support of his submission, he has handed over at Bar an admission slip of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences AIIMS, New Delhi. The same is taken on record.

In view of the above, issue notice.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State accepts notice. 7.

Having regard to the submissions made by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, the parole granted to the petitioner on 29.11.2024 and extended vide order dated 24.12.2024 is further extended for a period of three weeks to enable the petitioner to get the cataract surgery of his wife performed.

The terms and conditions of the order dated 29.11.2024 shall continue to apply. It is also made clear that no further extension of parole will be granted to the petitioner on the aforesaid ground. 9.

The petition stands disposed of.

A copy of the order be sent to the Jail Superintendent for information and necessary compliance.
