The Petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for the time-bound disposal of C.S. No. 16379/16 titled as Geeta Devi & Ors. vs. Raghuvansh Singh & Ors.

It is stated by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner that the Suit in question was filed in 2005. He states that summons were issued on 05.05.2005. He states that Written submissions on behalf of the Petitioner were filed in February, 2006 and replication was filed on 14.02.2006. It is stated that issues were framed on 11.08.2006 and a list of 34 witnesses was given on 11.09.2006 and evidence of plaintiff was recorded between May, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. 2013 to October, 2015. It is stated by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner that since 2016 there is no development in the case and in 2023 PW-3 was discharged.

It is pertinent to mention that the defendants No.4 to 16 in the Suit have already been set ex-parte. It is stated by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner that the delay in disposing of the Suit in question is causing prejudice to the Petitioner.

In the special facts of the present case, this Court is inclined to request the Trial Court to expedite the hearing of the Suit in question and dispose of the same within five months from today.

With this direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of along with the pending applications, if any.

Liberty is granted to the Petitioner to approach this Court if need arises in future.
