This petition has been filed under Section 29A(5), Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ("A&C Act") seeking extension of six months for the Arbitral Tribunal to render the Arbitral Award. The arbitral proceedings were extended by previous order dated 04th July, 2022, 27th April, 2023 and 02nd May, 2024. 3.
It was noted in the order dated 02nd May, 2024, that the counsel for respondent has submitted that since it is an international arbitration, there was no requirement of filing the said application but since the plea had been made, they did not oppose the prayer.

The Court, extended the period for 10 months with effect from 01st January, 2024 to cut short the controversy.

The submission by counsel for respondent is made on similar lines, however, in continuance of previous orders of this Court, the time for proceedings is extended by another six months. The period from 01st November, 2024 till date is accordingly regularised. 6.
Petition is disposed of accordingly.
