Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice. 3.

Present petition has been filed under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('Act') seeking extension of time for completion of the arbitral proceedings and passing of the Award. 4.

The present Arbitral Tribunal held its first procedural hearing on 19th April, 2018. Statutory period of twelve months under Section 29A(1) of the Act having expired, time was extended by a period of six months with the mutual consent of the parties, which expired on 6th October, 2019. 5.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the matter is at the O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 502/2019

stage of final arguments.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the respondent has no objection to the petition being allowed and the time being extended. 7.

With the consent of the parties, time for completion of the proceedings and passing of the award is extended by a period of six months with effect from 7th October, 2019.

The petition is allowed in the above terms.
