The learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that upon the receipt of the information, regarding the minor girl's disappearance on 28.03.2024, an FIR No. 187/2024 was registered on 29.03.2024 under Section 363 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, (IPC), at the Police Station Aman Vihar. Pursuant thereto, immediate steps were taken by the Investigating Officer, resulting in the arrest of the accused persons, namely Arvind @ Sonu and Soniya and the minor girl was traced.

surrendered on 24.10.2024. Subsequent thereto, the mother of the minor girl again filed a complaint stating that her daughter had once again gone missing on the morning of 28.10.2024. Pursuant to her complaint, another FIR bearing No. 682/2024 was registered under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, at Police Station Aman Vihar, and the investigation was taken up by the concerned police staff.

He submits that the matter was then transferred to the AntiHuman Trafficking Unit, Crime Branch in compliance of the Order of this Court dated 10.02.2025. The Investigating Officer further followed all the standard operating procedures, including issuing Hue and Cry notices and conducting searches at major transit hubs, shelter homes, and the mortuary at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, but the minor girl remains untraced. 4.
He further submits that there is no delay or deliberate omission on the part of the police authorities in tracing the minor girl. A reward of ₹20,000/- has already been proposed for any information leading to recovery of the girl. The authorities are maintaining regular contact with the girl's family and continuing to pursue all leads with utmost attention.

In view of the above, as two FIRs pertaining to two incidents have already been registered and investigations are underway, the police officials are directed to expedite the investigations and ensure that it is carried out diligently. They shall also file a Status Report, indicating the stage of investigation and the measures taken to trace the minor girl, before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate. since the petitioner is not present today, it appears that the petitioner is no longer interested in pursuing the present petition. 6.
Accordingly, the present petition is hereby disposed of in terms of the above observations.
