% 09.01.2019 It is submitted that a quarrel took place between the petitioner and respondent no.2 wherein respondent no. 2 sustained simple injuries. This incident had led to registration of FIR No. 214/2016 under Section 307 IPC at police station Shalimar Bagh, on the complaint of respondent no.2. It is further submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 have now settled their disputes amicably vide Compromise Deed dated 20.09.2018, therefore, aforesaid FIR may be quashed. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Bijender of police station Shalimar Bagh. He submits that he has settled the matter with petitioner of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and has no objection in case the

aforesaid FIR is quashed.

Keeping in view that petitioner and respondent no.2 are neighbours and a quarrel ensued between them on some trivial issue wherein respondent no.2 had sustained simple injuries and now that they have amicably settled their disputes in order to maintain harmonious relations, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping them entangled in criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
