O R D E R
% 08.01.2018 Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Ashok Kumar of police station Patel Nagar. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Court on 7th October, 2017 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 11th December, 2017 passed by the Family Court, West District, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi. She has no objection in case the FIR is quashed against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 and 3.
Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner no. 1
and respondent no.2 before the Mediation Centre voluntarily and that their marriage has been dissolved, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 87/2009 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
