The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for an extension of the mandate of learned Arbitrator, who is in seisin of disputes between the parties arising out of an agreement dated 13.06.2003.

Although arbitration commenced in the year 2018, and pleadings were completed on 04.02.2020, learned counsel for the parties state that O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 16/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. some delay was occasioned on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. The mandate of the tribunal has been extended from time to time, lastly by an order dated 04.07.2023 in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 173/2023. The extended period is due to expire on 14.01.2024. 3.
In the meanwhile, the parties have concluded their arguments and the learned Arbitrator has reserved the award. 4.
Mr. D.S. Chauhan, learned counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance instructions, has no objection to the relief sought. 5.
In view of the above, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended for a period of three months, with effect from 15.01.2024.

The petition stands disposed of in these terms.
