The petitioner contends that the petitioner's husband seeks permission to appear through virtual platform on account of his other commitments. The petitioner's application is pending for marriage registration under the Delhi (Compulsory Registration of Marriage) Order, 2024. 2.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner relies on the order passed in the case of Sadaf v. Govt. of NCT of Delhi and Anr.1 and submits that under almost similar circumstances, the request for preponement of the date as well as permission to appear on virtual platform was granted. Under these circumstances, the Court deems it appropriate to allow the petitioner to approach respondent-SDM/ Marriage Registration Officer, District: Gandhi Nagar, New Delhi along with a copy of the petition and order and to make the said request before the said authority. 4.
It is up to the concerned authority to deal with the same and to pass an appropriate order, keeping in mind various facts and circumstances involved in the matter.
