Learned counsel for the petitioner, at this stage, seeks that an expeditious trial be conducted by the learned Trial Court and submits that in the event of such direction being passed, the petitioner seeks to withdraw the petition. It is submitted on behalf of the State, in reply to a specific Court query, that 19 prosecution witnesses have been examined. The learned Trial Court shall make an endeavour to complete the trial within a period of six months. The petition is thus dismissed as withdrawn, as prayed.
