% 14.01.2019 The petitioner is aggrieved by what he considers as inaction by the police, on his complaint of being defrauded of Rs.25 lacs by certain persons, through banking transactions. The persons had represented to him to be members of an insurance company. The money was siphoned off from his bank account during the period from February, 2016 to April, 2016. According to the petitioner, nothing worthwhile has been investigated thus far. The nature of the complaint i.e. siphoning of funds of an innocent citizen through banking transactions needs to be investigated in right earnest. Since the case relates to banking transactions, therefore, it would be appropriate that it is investigated by the Crime Branch and monitored by the DCP of the said Branch. It is ordered

accordingly.

It is expected that the investigation shall be completed preferably within a period of three months, especially since the case has been pending for almost three years.

It will be open to the petitioner to meet the DCP, Crime Branch, Delhi Police on 22.01.2019. Status Report dated 14.01.2019 from SHO, Uttam Nagar, is taken on record.
