The learned counsel appearing for respondent no.1 submits that in terms of the order dated 21.10.2024 a sum of ₹5,44,45,415/- has been deposited with the Registry of this court albeit with some delay. The delay in depositing the said amount is condoned. The learned counsel appearing for the appellant points out that in terms of the order dated 11.01.2024, respondent no.1 was also be liable to pay further interest on the outstanding amount till the appellant deposits the full amount of Rs.32,66,72,490/-. The appellant was also required to communicate the said amount to respondent no.1 on or before 31.03.2024.

Respondent no.1's application (CM Appl. 61817/2024) was listed on 21.10.2024 seeking extension of time for depositing an amount of ₹5,44,45,415/- in compliance with the order dated 11.01.2024. stage, the learned counsel appearing for the appellant had also stated that respondent no.1 was liable to pay interest.

The appellant has handed over a copy of short affidavit, inter alia, stating that an amount of ₹9,14,68,297/- is due and payable by respondent no.1 as interest in terms of the order dated 11.01.2024. The appellant has also enclosed therewith a copy of a letter dated 22.03.2024 calling upon respondent no.1 to pay the said amount. The copy of his counter-affidavit is taken on record.

The question of the quantum of further interest that may be payable by respondent no.1 shall also be considered by the learned Single Judge. The application is disposed of.
