O R D E R

% 06.02.2019 Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel. She has been identified by SI Gajender of police station Alipur. She submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Rohini Courts, Delhi on 14th February, 2017.

Her marriage with petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 17th November, 2017 passed by the Family Court, District North, Rohini Courts, Delhi.

She further submits that she has no objection in case FIR No.

1243/2014 under Section 498-A IPC registered at Police Station Alipur, Delhi is quashed. Affidavit of respondent no.2 to this effect is also on record.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
