1. Learned senior counsel for the Respondent has placed before the Court a copy of a redemption letter dated 31st May, 2018 written by the office of the Assistant Director General of Foreign Trade in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India addressed to the Respondent stating that the Respondent's export obligation has been discharged against the authorisation in terms of para 5.13 of the Handbook of Procedure, as a result of which the licence stands redeemed.

2. In that view of the matter, the appeal has been rendered infructuous. The appeal and the applications are accordingly disposed of. LPA 24/2019 Page 1 of 2

3. Mr. Kirtiman Singh states that if, on verification, it is found that the position is otherwise, the Appellant will move an appropriate application. In such event, it is permitted to do so.
