W.P.(CRL) 131/2024 Writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 ('Cr.P.C.') has been preferred on behalf of the petitioner with the following prayers: "(a) To Direct the S.H.O. of P.S. Aman Vihar through D.C.P. of Rohini District to expedite the Complaint i.e. Dy. No. 417 dated 14/11/2023 given by the petitioner.

(b) To Direct the S.H.O. of P.S. Aman Vihar through D.C.P. of Rohini District to provide police protection to the petitioner."
Learned ASC for the State on instructions from the IO submits that the matter is under inquiry on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner and necessary action shall be taken. It is also informed that the relations between the family of the petitioner and the alleged assaulting party is strained, since criminal cases stand registered, both on behalf of family members of the petitioner as well as on behalf of other party. Reference in this regard is made to FIR No. 704/2023 dated 29.11.2023 under Section 376 IPC registered by 'S' (daughter-in-law of the present petitioner) against the landlord and another FIR No. 714/2023 dated 04.12.2023 by 'N' against the grandson of the present petitioner under Section 342/376/109/34 IPC and Section 6/17 POCSO Act.
The statement of learned ASC for the State to the effect that the matter shall be investigated and necessary action taken in accordance with law, is taken on record.
The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of, since no further action is called for at this stage.
