O R D E R

% 13.12.2019 Petitioner is seeking parole for two weeks to enable him to appear in the examination for Master of Arts (Journalism and Mass Communication) from Uttrakhand University.

Status report dated 13th December, 2019 has been placed on record. Learned Additional Standing Counsel for respondent/State submits that factum of petitioner pursuing Master of Arts (Journalism and Mass Communication) from Uttrakhand University stands verified and the examination is scheduled from 2nd January to 6th January, 2020. In view of the above, this petition is allowed and petitioner is granted two weeks' parole from 28th December, 2019 to enable him to appear in the aforesaid examination on his furnishing bail bond in the W.P.(CRL) 3444/2019

sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent, subject to the following conditions: i) The petitioner shall provide his mobile phone number to the Jail Superintendent at the time of his release, which shall be kept in working conditions at all the times. The same shall not be changed without prior intimation to the Jail Superintendent;

ii) The petitioner shall report at the local police station to mark his attendance on every alternate day at 11:00 a.m. during the period of parole;

iii) The petitioner shall duly surrender at the end of the period of parole; and iv) The petitioner shall also not indulge in any criminal activity while on parole.

A copy of this order be communicated to the Jail Superintendent. The petition stands disposed of.
