The next date in the present petition is 18.08.2025. 2.
The matter has been taken up on the basis of the abovesaid application. 3.
The petitioner-Corporation has challenged order dated 01.06.2022 whereby its defence was struck off in a commercial suit which it was defending.

It is, however, now informed that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties.

withdraw the suit in question, which is listed before the learned Trial Court, tomorrow.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner-Corporation submits that the petitioner is no longer interested in pursuing with the present petition, either.

Resultantly, the present petition is disposed of as not pressed, in terms of the Settlement Agreement dated 25.07.2025. 8.
It also needs to be mentioned that when the present petition was taken up by this Court on 16.01.2023, the petitioner-Corporation was directed to deposit a sum of Rs.50,000/- with the Registry of the Court with direction to get the abovesaid amount invested in an interest bearing FDR. 9.
It seems that the such direction was given with purported objective that if the defence of the petitioner-Corporation is to be restored, it should come with some condition.

Since the matter has now been amicably settled between the parties, let the abovesaid amount, along with accrued interest, be returned to petitioner-Corporation.

Pending application also stands disposed of in aforesaid terms. 12.
