The petitioner has filed the present application seeking extension of the parole granted to him for a further period of four weeks. The petitioner was released on parole for a period of three weeks by an order dated 11.02.2020, on the ground that the petitioner required to file a Special Leave Petition (SLP) against the order dated 06.11.2019 passed by this Court dismissing the petitioner's appeal (Crl. Appeal No.619/2019) against his conviction and the sentence awarded to him.

The leaned counsel appearing for the petitioner now states that the petitioner desires to spend some more time with his wife as she feels lonely.

She further submits that the petitioner is required to sell some of his properties for realizing funds to pay for his legal expenses. 3.

This Court does not consider it apposite to entertain the present application. The petitioner was released on parole for a period of three weeks for a specified purpose - to file an SLP - and the said period was sufficient for the petitioner to take the necessary steps for the said purpose. While it is understandable that the petitioner may want to spend time with his family, the same is not feasible as he is required to serve his sentence. 4.

The application is, accordingly, dismissed.
