The petitioner-school has filed this writ petition for a direction upon the respondent-Directorate of Education ["DoE"] to take a decision on its request for approval with regard to imposition of major penalty on one of its employees [Ms. Sonia Katyal, TGT (Science)]. It is stated in the writ petition that a request for approval has been submitted by the petitioner-school to the DoE on 13.06.2024, but no decision has yet been communicated to the petitioner.

The matter was passed over to enable Mr. Yeeshu Jain, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the DoE, to take instructions. On second call, he states that the department has been unable to trace out the file in this short time, but will treat the writ petition as a representation and pass W.P.(C) 494/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. orders on the request dated 13.06.2024 within two weeks from today. 3.
