The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, seeking protection from respondent nos. 5 to 10 (who are the family members of petitioner no.1). The petitioners apprehend harm at the hands of the family members of petitioner no.1, as it is stated that they have married contrary to their wishes.

The learned counsel appearing for respondent nos. 5 to 10 states that they have no grievance against the petitioners and they have reconciled to their marriage. He also submits they have no contact with the petitioners. He states that the father of petitioner no.1 had filed an FIR, as she had left on her own without any intimation to her family members. 3.

In view of the averments made in the present petition, this Court directs the concerned SHO (SHO, PS Jaitpur) to provide such protection to the petitioners as he considers necessary. The petitioners shall be provided

the contact numbers of the beat staff so that they could contact them in case of any eventuality.

The petitioners have also been receiving phone calls from police officials from Faridabad. It is assumed that this is in connection with the FIR lodged by the father of petitioner no.1. He shall take steps to apprise the police officials that petitioner nos. 1 and 2 are married and are staying together and that he has no grievance in that regard. 5.
