The present petition has been filed alleging willful disobedience of the rd January, 2024 passed by this court in W.P.(Crl.) 1495/2023. order dated 03 By way of the said order, the court had directed that the petitioner shall move a fresh application before the Chairman of the Witness Protection Committee of the concerned court.

Further, there were directions that specific report will be called for regarding any kind of threat perception to the petitioner, and in light of that a specific order be passed regarding security being granted or denied to the petitioner.

As an interim arrangement, the court had directed that the petitioner will be provided a 24 hours Personal Security Officer ("PSO") and that the said order shall be continued.

The present contempt petition has been filed alleging that despite representation of the petitioner, personal security has not been provided to the petitioner till date.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that appropriate application shall be moved by the petitioner before the Chairman of the Witness Protection Committee at the earliest. 8.

Learned counsel appearing for respondents on advance notice submits that the representation of the petitioner for providing personal security has already been put up before the Deputy Commissioner of Police ("DCP") (North) and that appropriate decision with respect to providing security to the petitioner shall be passed today itself during the course of the day. 9.

The aforesaid statement made on behalf of the respondent is taken on record and the respondents are held bound by the said statement. 10.

Recording the aforesaid undertaking that the directions passed vide order dated 03rd January, 2024 by this court in W.P.(Crl.) 1495/2023 with respect to personal security being provided to the petitioner as an interim arrangement, shall be complied with, the present contempt petition is disposed of.
