CORAM:

HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE MUKTA GUPTA

O R D E R

% 05.01.2018 Crl.M.A.No.197/2018 (exemption) Allowed subject to just exceptions.

W.P.(CRL) 37/2018 & Crl.M.A.No.196/2018 By this petition and the application, the petitioner seeks extension of parole granted to the petitioner vide order dated 22nd December, 2017 for a further period of four weeks as his wife is ailing and is presently admitted in Medanta hospital.

Due to the medical condition of the wife of the petitioner and the fact W.P.(CRL) 37/2018

that she was in the ICU, this Court has already granted parole to the petitioner for a period of two weeks. As per the latest medical report the petitioner's wife has been discharged from the hospital and referred to a Multi-Speciality hospital. She has been advised to undergo 2D ECHO/Holter monitoring and Cardiologist opinion. Since there are other family members to look after the wife of the petitioner and the petitioner had sufficient time to oversee the progress of his wife's medical condition, at this stage this Court finds no ground to extend the parole of the petitioner.

The petition as well as the application are dismissed. MUKTA GUPTA, J.
