The present petition has been filed seeking following relief: a.

Issue a writ of mandamus or writ of any other nature, order(s), direction(s) to the respondents thereby, directing the respondent no. l & 3 to protect the life and liberty of petitioner no.1 to 5 from the respondent no.4 to 7, who are threatening the petitioners to liquidate their lives and hence the life and liberty of the petitioners are in jeopardy.

b.

Prohibit respondent no 4 to 7 from interfering in the life and liberty of petitioner no 1 & 2 including solemnization of marriage, in any manner whatsoever.

c.

Direct the respondent no.2 to discharge his duties thereby, registered the marriage of petitioner no 1 & 2 as under special marriage act, in the absence of family members of The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The notice was issued by this Court vide order dated 16.01.2025. 3.

The State has handed over the status report dated 16.01.2025 across the Bar, the same is taken on record. A perusal of the status report shows that a missing report has been registered at the instance of mother of petitioner no. 1.

In so far as the threat perception of the petitioner no. 1 is concerned, it has been pointed out that the details of the officers of the Police Station Usmanpur within whose jurisdiction the petitioners are stated to be residing have been mentioned in the status report, a copy of which has also been handed over to the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners. 5.

Having regard to the threat perception articulated in the present petition, the concerned officers are directed that in the event any distress call is received from the petitioners, the same shall be attended on urgent basis in accordance with law. No further order is called for in the present petition. 6.
