The present petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of the mandate of the learned sole Arbitrator, who is in seisin of disputes between the parties under an Employment Agreement dated 30.11.2016. 2.

The learned Arbitrator was appointed by an order of this Court dated 03.03.2021 in ARB.P 266/2021. The mandate of the learned arbitrator was extended with consent of the parties on 10.08.2023 and has expired on 03.12.2023.

I am informed that the proceedings are at the stage of crossexamination of the petitioner's witness and the arbitration proceedings are next scheduled to be heard on 30.01.2024. 4.

Mr. Gaurav Juneja, learned counsel for the respondent, enters appearance on advance notice, and has no objection to the relief sought, O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 32/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. but submits that the petitioner has been delaying the arbitration proceedings. That is a matter for the learned Arbitrator to look into. Mr. Vedansh Vashisht, learned counsel for the petitioner, assures the Court that the petitioner will cooperate with the learned Arbitrator for expeditious disposal of the proceedings.

Having regard to the above, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended for a period of six months w.e.f. 03.12.2023.

The petition, alongwith pending application, is disposed of.
