The instant writ petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is in the nature of Habeas Corpus, seeking direction to the Respondent-State to trace and produce the daughter of the Petitioner, who is stated to have been missing since 09.12.2024. 2.
Periodic Status Reports have been filed. The Status Report reveals that upon receipt of the complaint, the investigation was entrusted to ASI Ram Mehar stationed at P.S. New Usmanpur, Delhi, for further action. Thereafter, FIR No. 202/2025 was registered under Section 140(3) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 against the suspect Akash Singh @ Abhay Thakur, aged about 25 years, son of Chandra Bhan Thakur, R/o H. No. C-15/1, Gali No.5, Sudamapuri Gamri The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

The Status Report indicates that efforts have been made to retrieve the mobile data of both the suspect and the missing girl. Searches were conducted at Nari Niketan/Observation homes, various hospitals, guesthouses, railway stations, airports, bus stations and other locations frequented by the daughter of the Petitioner. However, no clue regarding her whereabouts has been found. 4.
Details of the missing girl were also published in newspapers such as Hindustan Times, Dainik Jagran, etc. Wireless transfer messages have also been circulated regarding the missing person. 5.
The Suspect - Akash Singh was produced before the concerned Ld.
Magistrate, and permission to conduct the Lie Detector/Polygraph/Narco analysis test was granted on 24.04.2025. 6.
The Polygraph examination and Layered voice analysis examination of suspect Akash Singh were conducted on 13.05.2025. 7.
The reports have been produced before this Court in sealed cover, and the same have been returned to the concerned Investigating Officer upon perusal. As per the reports, the suspect has stated that he has no knowledge regarding the whereabouts of the Petitioner's missing daughter. The reports further indicate that the suspect appears to be speaking truthfully. The suspect is yet to be subjected to the Narco Analysis Test.

The Status Report further reveals that the login credentials of the missing girl's Snapchat ID have also been verified and analysed, but no clues have been found.

The Status Report indicates that despite best efforts, the daughter of the Petitioner has not yet been traced. Resultantly, this Court is inclined to close the present writ petition and directs the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
Investigating Authorities to submit periodic reports before the concerned Magistrate every month.

It is expected that the State shall not loosen its efforts to trace the missing daughter of the Petitioner and shall continue to make all possible efforts in this regard.

Liberty is granted to the Petitioner to approach this Court in case any need so arises.
