The present petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers:- "It is therefore most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to:

a) Issue a direction / orders directing the Ld.

Tribunal / Respondent no. 1 to pass judgement on merits in O.A 1106/2022 immediately for the reasons as stated in the present petition.

b) to stay retirement of the Petitioner and extend the service of the till the judgement on merits in the in O.A 1106/2022 is not passed. Further, it is prayed that, in the event the judgement is passed against the Petitioner, the Petitioner be granted extension of service for reasonable period of time to avail his remedy as per law. c) Pass any other orders that this Hon'ble Court deems just fit and necessary."

Noting the contents of the petition, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition by directing the counsel for the petitioner to make a mentioning before the Bench of the Armed Forces Tribunal for a decision in the OA expeditiously.

It goes without saying that the Bench shall consider the request appropriately.
