The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking direction to the respondent nos.1 and 2 to provide protection to the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the son of the petitioners is married to the respondent no.3 and there is a matrimonial dispute going on between them.

He submits that the uncle, as well as, cousins of respondent no.3, who have been arrayed as respondent nos.4 to 6 in the present petition, are extending threats to the petitioners, who are senior citizens. 4.
He submits that a complaint has also been made to the police in this regard, which is annexed as Annexure P-2 to the present petition. no action has been taken by the police.

Issue notice. Learned Standing Counsel for the State accepts notice. 6.
In view of the limited relief sought, the present petition is taken up for disposal with the consent of the parties. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the concerned SHO to share his mobile number, as well as, the mobile numbers of the beat constables of the area with the present petitioners, and in the event of any distress call being received from the present petitioners, the same shall be attended to on urgent basis in accordance with law.
