The present petition has been filed seeking interim bail on the ground that the marriage ceremonies of the cousin of the petitioner is scheduled for 17.01.2024 - 19.01.2024.

The learned APP for the State, on instructions from the Investigating Officer, who is present in Court, submits that the factum of marriage has been verified.

Having regard to the nature of allegations made against the petitioner and considering the fact that co-accused namely, Shankar who was released on interim bail did not surrender after the expiry of interim bail period and is since absconding, it is deemed appropriate to grant one day custody parole to the petitioner to attend the marriage ceremony of his cousin. 4.
