% 17.01.2025 1.
The appellant has filed the present appeal, inter alia, impugning an order dated 09.01.2025 passed by the learned Single Judge in CONT.CAS (C) No.13/2025 captioned Thoppani Sanjeev Rao v. Shri Priyank Kanoong Chairperson National Commission for Protection of Child Rights & Others. 2.
The appellant had filed the aforementioned contempt petition under Section 2(b) and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 (hereafter the Contempt Act) alleging that the directions issued by the Court vide the order dated 03.12.2024 passed in W.P.(Crl) No.3064/2024 to file the status report was violated. The status report was not filed within the given time. 3.
The learned Single Judge did not agree with the appellant that the matter was one which warranted any action under the Contempt Act. 4.
The appellant also alleges that the respondent had filed certain documents with the response to the contempt petition, which are claimed to be fabricated.

5.
We find no infirmity with the decision of the learned Single Judge in declining the prayer of the appellant to initiate the action under the Contempt Act.
6.
The controversy regarding the consequences of belatedly filing of the status report in the said matter requires to be considered in the said petition [W.P.(Crl.) No.3064/2024].
7.
The appeal is, accordingly, dismissed. Pending application is also disposed of.
