A status report has been filed by the respondent/ MCD wherein it has been stated that the property no. 15A/16, East Patel Nagar, New Delhi (hereinafter 'subject property') has been booked under Section 344(1) and 343 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957 (hereinafter 'DMC Act') and a show cause notice dated 28th January, 2026 has been issued to the owner/ occupier of the subject property.

property has been found to be used for running commercial activity in violation of the provisions of MPD-2021.

Accordingly, proceedings under Section 345A read with Section 347 of the DMC Act have been initiated against the owner/ occupier of the Ground Floor of the subject property.

Considering the aforesaid action taken on behalf of the respondent/ MCD, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
