1. A notice dated 3rd July 2018 has been issued by the LAC to the Petitioners to appear before the LAC on 16th July 2018 at 3:30 PM for "determination of the amount of compensation along with interest thereon under Section 34 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894" in respect of the Award No. 44/82-83 in respect of the lands in the khasra Nos. 41/1 (5-10), 43 (3-03) and 44/1(0-10) located in the revenue estate Behlolpur Khadar. Counsel for the Petitioners informs that Petitioner No. 2 has expired and that an application for bring on record his legal representatives has been filed. The said application has, however, not been numbered yet and is not listed today.

2. Considering that the limited prayer in the present petition is for W.P.(C) 207/2016

compensation to be paid to the Petitioners, the Court sees no purpose in keeping the present petition pending. It is directed that Petitioner No.1 and the legal representatives of Petitioner No.2 will appear before the LAC on 30th January 2019 at 3:30 PM with the relevant papers in their possession and the LAC will after examining those documents pass appropriate orders preferably within a period of four weeks thereafter in respect of the claim for compensation and interest. If the Petitioners are aggrieved by the orders passed by the LAC, it will be open to them to seek appropriate remedies in accordance with law.
