This writ petition has been filed by Mr. Sahib Bansal, the husband of respondent No. 4- Ms. Shivangi Goel, and relates to her appointment to the Indian Police Service.

It is brought to my notice that disputes between the petitioner and respondent No. 4 herein have all been settled before the Supreme Court, as reflected in the judgment dated 22.07.2025 in Transfer Petition (C) No. 2367/2023 and connected matters. In paragraph 4 of the said judgment, the Supreme Court has enumerated several litigations filed by the parties against each other and their family members/relatives [paragraphs 4A & The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

4B], as well as incidental matters/cases filed by third parties arising out of the matrimonial discord between the parties [paragraph 4C]. 3.

The present petition finds mention in paragraph 4B(v) of the judgment, which is reproduced below:

"4B. Case(s) filed by the Husband against the Wife and her family members/ relatives:

................. .......................................... ..................... ............ v. Sahib Bansal vs. Union of India - WP(Q) No. 1470/2023, writ petition filed in Delhi High Court challenging IPS candidature of wife."1 4.

In paragraph 11 of the judgment, the Supreme Court has directed as follows:

"11. To bring an end to the protracted legal battle between the parties and to secure complete justice, all pending criminal and civil litigations filed by either party against the other, including but not limited to those against the Wife, the Husband, and his family members, in any court or forum in India as mentioned in Paras 4A, 4B and 4C (i) to (iii) above, are hereby quashed and/or withdrawn. Additionally, the incidental matters/ cases/ proceedings filed by third parties against the husband/wife and his/her family members & relatives, related/unrelated to the matters between the parties are hereby quashed and/or withdrawn. The respective courts/authorities are directed to treat these proceedings as terminated and shall not be challenged in any court of law in future."2 5.

The judgment of the Supreme Court was subsequently corrected by an order dated 28.07.2025, but the said corrections are not relevant to the present case.

It is submitted by Mr. Hemant Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioner, that respondent No. 4 has not complied with the conditions stipulated in the said judgment, and that the petitioner herein proposes to file appropriate proceedings in this regard before the Supreme Court. therefore, requests that the present petition be adjourned. 7.

Such a course does not commend to me. Paragraph 11 of the judgment of the Supreme Court dated 22.07.2025 categorically records that this petition, alongwith several other proceedings between the parties, "are hereby quashed and/or withdrawn". Nothing, therefore, survives for consideration in the present petition, at this point of time. 8.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. All pending applications also stand disposed of.
