% 06.12.2019 Petitioner is seeking interim bail in FIR No. 396/2018, under Section 307/34 IPC, registered at police station Dwarka, New Delhi on the ground that he wishes to attend his sister‟s wedding, which is scheduled for 8th December, 2019 and he being the only brother has to perform certain rituals in marriage.

Mr. G.M. Farooqui, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for State, submits that two days time be granted to verify the factum of marriage of petitioner‟s sister. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for State informs that petitioner‟s similar application filed before the trial court has been dismissed vide order of 3rd December, 2019 stating that trial is at the crucial stage and complainant is yet to be examined. Heard.
Upon hearing and on perusal of FIR of this case, this Court finds that allegations levelled against petitioner are serious in nature. There are allegations that petitioner had attacked the complainant with a sword with an intention to kill him. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for State has informed that the trial is at a crucial stage and complainant is yet to be examined. In such circumstances, when the time to verify the factum of marriage of petitioner‟s sister is very short, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought by petitioner.
The application is dismissed.
