% 28.02.2018 Counsel for the respondents states that counter affidavit has been efiled today. Hard copy of the counter affidavit has been furnished in the Court.

Counsel for the respondents states that the respondents join the petitioner in praying for expeditious and early disposal of the appeals pending in the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal. During the course of hearing, counsel for the petitioner has stated that three appeals for two years were heard by the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal on 31st January, 2018 and orders have been reserved. Most of the issues are common and the decision/order in the said appeals would be applicable in other appeal.

In view of the aforesaid position, no further order or direction is required. We however hope and trust that both the petitioner and the respondents would ensure that hearing in appeals are not delayed by seeking adjournments.
