The petitioner in the instant petition prays for the following reliefs:- "to allow the present petition and issue a Writ in the nature of Mandamus or other appropriate Writ, Order or Direction directing the Respondent No.1 to renew the Employment Visa of the Petitioner forthwith and grant interim protection by restraining the Respondent No.2 from taking any coercive or adverse action against the Petitioner during the pendency of the present petition;

Mr. Rohan Jaitley, learned CGSC who appears on behalf of the respondents at the outset points out the recent notification dated 10.12.2025, where the Standard Operating Procedure has been approved for processing visa cases of foreign nationals who are involved in criminal cases and are granted bail. He submits that the petitioner's grievance is being considered by the respondents on the anvil of the said notification. He also submits that the final decision is likely to be taken within a period of approximately four weeks.

Having considered the aforesaid submissions, the Court deems it appropriate to issue following directions:- (i) Let the petitioner's application be considered in accordance with extant regulations;

(ii) With respect to the interim protection, let the petitioner to also approach the respondent no.1 by way of a proper application, if the same is permissible in law;

(iii) If the decision is not taken within a period of six (6) weeks from today, the petitioner shall be at liberty to file a fresh petition. 4.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant petition stands disposed of along with all pending applications.
