The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the respondents to refund the amount of `62,000/- alongwith interest.

The petitioner has sought refund of a stamp duty of `62,000/- (Estamp certificate no. IN-DL026843650809420 dated 11.01.2016). The petitioner's grievance is that her application for refund of stamp duty has not been processed and further the reminders sent by the petitioner have also elicited no response.

In view of the averments made in the present petition, respondents are directed to process the petitioner's application for refund of e-stamp duty in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from today. If the respondents are of the view that the refund cannot be granted, the respondents shall ensure that the said reasons are duly communicated to the petitioner in writing within the aforesaid period. 6.
The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. The pending application is also disposed of.
