At the outset, learned APP for the State has handed over a status/verification report stating therein that the appellant has expired on 23.01.2023 and cremated on 24.01.2023. The status report, is accompanied by the cremation receipt, as well as the death certificate issued by Municipal Corporation of Delhi. The status report is also accompanied by the statement of the complainant in whose property the appellant was residing. The complainant has also affirmed the factum of death of the appellant. 2.

In view of the above, the proceedings in the present appeal stands abated.
