% 20.08.2024 Mr. Utkarsh, learned APP appearing for the State submits, that in the process of serving notice upon the respondent, it transpires that the respondent has passed-away on 31.05.2024.

Status Report dated 07.08.2024 to that effect has also been filed, alongwith a copy of Death Certificate dated 19.06.2024 and statements of 02 witnesses, who have confirmed the demise of the respondent. In view of the above, the appeal stands disposed-of as having abated. Mr. Satinder Negi, who stood surety for the respondent is present in court.

As requested, the surety bond is discharged; and the learned Trial Court is directed to return to Mr. Negi any original documents furnished towards surety of the respondent, after verifying his credentials.
