The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking parole for a period of three months.

The status report had been filed, which indicates that the petitioner was convicted of an offence under Section 302 of IPC in a case arising out of the FIR No.169/2012 registered with PS R. K. Puram. 4.

By an order dated 07.10.2016, the petitioner was sentenced to life imprisonment. The petitioner has sought parole to attend to his ailing father. However, it is reported that his father expired on 09.12.2019. 5.

The nominal roll has been handed over, which indicates that the

petitioner has already served actual custody of six years, nine months and three days.

He has also earned remission of ten months and seven days during the said period. The petitioner had been released on parole on three previous occasions and there is no allegation that he has misused this opportunity.

In view of the above, the present petition is allowed and the petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of two weeks from the date of his release, subject to the petitioner furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- and two sureties of an equivalent amount to the satisfaction of the concerned trial court.

The petitioner shall provide his mobile number and ensure that he is reachable on it at all times.
