The petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of the learned arbitral tribunal, which is in seisin of disputes between the parties under four contracts for the supply and installation of Coal Handling Plant Package.

The learned arbitral tribunal entered into the reference on 27.07.2019, and time for making of the award has been extended from time to time, lastly by an order of this Court dated 12.09.2023 in O.M.P.(MISC.) (COMM.) 381/2023.

I am informed that the award has now been reserved and the tribunal has indicated that the parties may seek an extension of time of two months for making of the award.

Mr. Naman Jain, learned counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance notice, has no objection to the relief sought. 5.
