By way of the present petition filed under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of six months with effect from 06.01.2025, i.e., till 05.07.2025, for concluding the Arbitral proceedings and passing of the Award.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mandate of the Arbitral tribunal has expired on 06.01.2025. He further submits that the parties had previously extended the mandated of the learned Arbitrator by consent, with effect from 07.07.2024 till 06.01.2025, recorded in order dated 26.11.2024, however, the proceedings could not be completed within the stipulated time.

Learned counsel for the respondent appears and submits that the respondent has no objection to the prayer made in the petition and in fact, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. joins the petitioner in praying for an extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by 6 months i.e., till 05.07.2025.

At this stage, learned counsels for the parties submit that the matter is at the stage of final arguments.

Considering the aforesaid joint request of the parties, the present petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a period of 6 months with effect from 06.01.2025. It is further observed that any proceedings conducted after the expiry of the mandate shall also stand validated and regularised.
