Petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to the Respondents not to interfere with the peaceful public meeting - cum - sit-in demonstration on right to housing and labour, organized by the petitioner organization. The meeting was to be held today, i.e. 19.01.2024. 2.

The matter came up for hearing at about 11:40 AM today. 3.

This Court suggested the Petitioner to give an alternate date after Republic Day celebrations are over.

The Delhi Police is, therefore, directed to permit the Petitioner to conduct the meeting - cum - sit-in demonstration on 10.02.2024, if otherwise it is permissible under law.
