The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that he be released on parole for a period of three months in the interests of justice. 2.

The petitioner had applied for parole on the ground of attending to his ailing mother and re-connect with the social ties. While the said application was being considered, the petitioner's mother succumbed to her illness and expired on 19.10.2019. She was cremated on the same date. The petitioner is now seeking parole in the present petition on the ground to perform the religious ceremonies and to mourn along with his relatives. 3.

A status report has been filed, which indicates that a Havan/Pooja for petitioner's late mother is now fixed for 22.11.2019. 4.

In view of the above, this Court considers it apposite to allow the

present petition. The respondent is directed to release the petitioner on parole for a period of two weeks from the date of his release, on the petitioner furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety of the equivalent amount to the satisfaction of the jail superintendent. The petitioner shall also provide his mobile number to the jail superintendent and ensure that he is reachable at all times.
