The present petition under Section 2(b) read with Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 seeks the following prayers: - "i. Direct the Respondents to pay the appropriate compensatory interest towards the amount of Leave Encashment. ii. Summon the Contemnors and punish them in accordance with law for the offence of civil contempt of this Hon'ble Court's order dated 24.08.2022 passed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P.(C) No. 14439/2021.

iii. Pass any other order(s) which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in facts and circumstances of the present case." 3.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that as per the applicable rules, they are not permitted to give any interest as they are constrained to follow the said rules as per the concerned Office Memorandum. 5.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition with liberty to initiate appropriate proceedings in accordance with law with respect to the aforesaid issue before the Court of competent jurisdiction/appropriate forum.
